I've got the RR ecm in front of me a cable which looks like oit attaches to the RR and has a usb on the other end.

Then I've got a cable with the EFIlive flashscan attached to it v1.2
and the cable that goes to the obd2 port on the inside of the car.

What else do I need and what heck do i do now?

my laptop isnt hook up to the internet so my guess is I need to download the latest version of efilive and install it on the laptop. Then update the usb drivers?

THis is supposed to have one good license left, they come with two correct?

I want to start with the MAF table, do I need a wideband for that?

The FlashScan interface is no longer used to tune the ECM when you have a RoadRunner. The USB is a direct connection from the PC to the RoadRunner. FlashScan is still used to scan/log data though.

RoadRunner has been supported for ages so you shouldn't strictly require a software update for that. It is recommended to run the latest version of both the software and drivers however.

The FlashScan V1 should have come with 2 PCM licenses. You require the EFILive Real-time license for use with the RoadRunner though. This is the US$199 license you hopefully purchased? If not you'll need to get that before you can use the RoadRunner.

A wideband is recommended for tuning of anything AFR related. Without it you have no reliable means to measure commanded vs. actual :)

Hope that helps...

If you have an early RoadRunner you will need to update the firmware in the RoadRunner to use RTACS. I would also recommend updating to the latest EFI_Live software version.

I havent purchased anything yet, I tbought it was good to go. The license isnt tranferable? I couldnt get the efilive to talk to the RR, do I need to install the license first?

Your FlashScan registration must include the RR serial number in order for EFILive software to commincate with the RR device. If you license does not have the RR serial number in it, then you need to purchase an RR/FlashScan registration from Moates or EFILive. Or get the seller to send you the original registration details with the RR serial number in it.

You can enter/change your registration details using the Help->Register EFILive menu.
