I have a 99 pcm, in my 99 Camaro. I've got a RR sitting here and a v1.2 efi.
First I read the pcm with the flashscan and save that file on my laptop correct. Then it says its best to upgrade the pcm to an 02 op system and then even a custom op system.

So do I connect the RR and upgrade it to a 02 system and then how do I import the data from the file I saved onto the RR ? Or do I upgrade the op system with the tune file already loaded on the RR? In other words read the pcm and then flash that over to the RR and then upgrade the op system on the RR?

Chomping at the bit here...

Ok from the tutorial it looks like I read my current calibrations and save them. Then I flash the RR with the OS that I want. Then I flash the calibrations over to the RR and then follow the table adjustments to that will be needed to be completed?

The basic process is:
- Read current tune from stock PCM
- Install RoadRunner PCM
- Perform a full flash of the OS you want to the RoadRunner
- Perform a calibration flash of your stock rune read initially

If you are going to change from a 99 to an 02 OS then you will not be able to use you stock read as the calibration flash, as the operating system numbers and table structures are different.

In this case you need to either:
- Use an 02 model year as the calibration flash
- Copy and paste the necessary tables from your 99 OS to the 02 OS

Upgrading to the 02 OS is recommended where possible.

Can I go directly to a custom OS and use the current calibrations on my pcm. It's a 99 pcm but the tune isnt that far off and me being a total noob I'd like to use it as muich as possible and make adjustments from there.

What you saying is that I'll need to manually cut and past all the info over? table by table or will it error and show me the tables I need to copy?

I've got heads and cam and svo injectors and a 85 mm MAF and ported fast 90. The changes that were made were for better heads and a bigger cam and the MAF and ported 90 instead of a regular 90. So it juust should need a few adj's here and there.

Need to dial in the MAF and get the a/f right as well as fgure out the issue at start up right now

Table-by-table... takes about 1 hour or so.

I would get the 02 OS and/or COS running on the stock PCM before switching to RR PCM.
