am having a problem with the 1-2 shift in my 4l60e equipped truck.

This is 2004 Silverado 5.3 with bolt ons only.

I had originally tuned for a bit more LP, no TQM, faster shift speeds, etc..

After installing a Transgo, the 1-2 shift became unbearable.

I returned all the settings to stock, except TQM, and all was well.

Until the next day, when the shifts became harsh again.

I have reflashed several times for other things, and each time the shifts are great for a day or 2, and then back to being too harsh.

And suggestions or questions?

You could just pull out the washers on the accumulater right? Or, there is the 1-2 gear pressure adjustment in the trans section of the program, you can lighten it up there. D0107 table, Those numbers are the look up for the trans mission D3801 table. So, when you change the number in that D0107 table from 1 to 96 as on that second chart, that is where it is reading. The lower the number on the D0107 the more the line pressure.

Even another route to go is to mess with table D1101.
This table gives the transmission learning a limit to how much pressure it can add or subtract from the final calc. If you say it is good for a while and then gets harsh, that means that this table is the one that is doing that. So, you could lower or zero it out.

I will give that a shot. 8)

Thanks!

Is it right you can maximize the pressure within the limits of the box by setting the 662Nm row in D3801 to 0V rather than 0.074V. I have a good improved 4L65e box.

For the last year and a half without problems

Thanks for that. Are you running the top 10 or so cells of the transmission tables at 662 as well?

ps. Since this box was put in - i am having trouble with traction up to 90kph. Not just after changes either. I had the converter adjusted up - its now about a 4200rpm. 0-60mph for our US friends sub 4.3s launching in 2nd at part throttle. My old box must have been wasting power.

I didnt set up this table in my tune. My original tuner set it up when I got the box done:

My shifts are very firm and I do have problems at the track with traction but attributed it to my poor suspension setup.

PS only 662 on the last 2 cells of 1-2 shift and last cell of 3-4 shift.
