View Full Version : Can anyone help with a couple of problems?

I'm running COS5 and having a few problems. I hooked my lc-1 up so that analog 1 is simulating a nb o2. I hooked output 2 up to efi live like the tutorial says. Lc1 1 data does not change. Lc1 2 is the one that will move around but not the way it should. Seems like all it does is switch from .9v to 4.2v nothing in between. The other problem is I installed a procharger, 47# injectors and a racetronix fuelpump. My idle is jacked up. It is set to idle at 800 but it will idle 1000-1100 and if you just touch the gas it will climb up to about 2k rpm. I did set up the flow rate with the spreadsheet. Can the ve table effect idle like this?
I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Please post screenshots of the LM Programmer Analog 1 and Analog 2 tabs (be sure to first select "AFR" on each tab).

Thanks Joe. I will try when I get home tonite. How do you go about doing that? It's also kind of strange. I can go into the lm programmer but it will not go into logworks for me to read the wide band from there. It would a few times when I first got it but not it won't.
Thanks Brian

With the LM Programmer Analog 1 tab showing (remember to select AFR), follow this: showthread.php?t=3064 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=3064)
And then repeat for the Analog 2 tab.
LogWorks: I don't know why it doesn't work, I can't make mine fail.

Here are shots of the lm programmer screens. I hope that it worked and they show up.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on with the lc-1 that would cause the voltage to only switch from .8-4.2v ? Could the new sensor be bad? Thought about pulling it and recallibrating it.

Either of these could be happening:
- fueling is switching from very lean to very rich, and nothing in-between,
- LC-1 is not setup right,
- LC-1 is not working.
On the LC-1, did you:
1. do heater calibration (remove sensor from LC-1, and power on)...?
2. do free air calibration (in free air (engine off for > 6 hours), press red button)...?
Does the LC-1's LED stop flashing [20 seconds] after you power up...?

Hey Joe. I did both of them when I first installed it. I was going to redue them. The last time I had it running was last night. Do you think it would be better to pull it out to do the air sample? I also thought about switching the analog out puts and see if that changed anything.

Ok. I recalibrated the heater then did a free air calibration. It was dead on with the commanded afr. After tuning the car for a while it acted up again. It even lost the voltage settings for the analog outputs. I think it has an internal problem. Does anyone have any ideas on the idle concern. I logged the desired idle air flow and when I averaged the cells they all were 0. You just touch the gas and it shoots to about 2k rpm.
