Ever since I put 4.88's in my 00 camaro, the speedometer vss has been way wrong vs. mph on my time slips. I think I figured out that my required H0101 pulses per mi exceed EFILive imposed limits. Can someone provide a solution?
(p.s. tire dia. is 27.75).

Looking at the equation makes me think that if i change the H0102 pulses per revolution to a lower value it will produce a number that will not exceed the H0101 limits. Can someone take look and see if I'm correct?

Try these:

If its an auto:
H0101 = 141867 ppm
H0102 = 40
H0103 = 4.88
H0104 = 3546

If its a manual:
H0101 = 60293 ppm
H0102 = 17
H0103 = 4.88
H0104 = 3546

When I type that in and then go to the next box, it immediately reverts to 117963 which is the maximum in the limits box.

Thank you,

Are you using the latest version V7.4.2 of the software available here:
http://www.efilive.com/download.aspx

I think that the limits on H1010 were set too low in a previous release. I think the limit was too low to support anything above 3.90 diff.

The latest version V4.7.2 should have the limit raised to 157478.

My mistake, I forgot to mention that you also need to download the update to V7.4.2 here:

If that still does not increase the limits, send me your PCM's Operating System number, so I can figure out why.

Paul, I just found a thread the gist of which leads me to believe I may have to change to a later operating system from my 2000 system to prevent damage to my PCM. Is this possible?

Thank You
Vinny

Setting it to it's maximum or minimun vaue may cause a fault in the PCM. EFILive restricts the max/min limits so that you cannot set them too high or too low. We were too cautious in our initial limits which only allowed up to 3.9 diff ratio.

I know the V7.5.1 release has the limits set correctly. I thought it had also been done for the V7.5.2 release/update - but evidently not.

Subscribe to this thread to get notification of when the 7.5.2 pre-release is available:

The V7.5.2 release should be available before this weekend (Sep 21, 2007).
