How do I make flashscan record RR?

I connect to the RR ok thru the usb but when I try to connect using the flashscan it doesnt show the red and yellow button options to record? which controller do I select, same as for my ecu?

Did you plug in the data port connector before plugging in the other end into the V2? I have seen some cars try to talk to the V2 and keep it from handshaking with the laptop. I have just gotten into the practice of pluggin in the laptop side to the V2 first. Hope this helps.
