I am currently having problems with a '99 C5- map sensor goes to 255 for about 300 RPM, then power reduction mode occurs- can I get around this???
Is this causing my power reduction mode? I can't find anything else consistent in the WOT logs...???

Post your tune.

And what mods are on your '99 C5...?

255 kpa! that is what the poor ole camaro hits at 22 psi.....

If you are not supercharged, then there is a problem with wiring or sensor.

If it is a 2bar, you should maybe consider going to a 3 bar..

If you just delete the code it should work, But, you arent being able to compensate for fuel after the 15lb of boost, so it may be lean or rich alot more than it should.

it is a 3 bar map (and verified with boost gauge) and the PCM sees 255 for about 5 frames on the datalog then hits power reduction- no other codes (except for 102 every once and a while). Can I use a 5 bar? Is the PCM seeing the 255 limit (or 5v) then thinking there is a problem? I will post the tune later (on another computer).

send me your current tune and i will find the problem. Most likely something simple.
