That error means EFILive V4 is not receiving any data from the vehicle.

Are you using a USB-Serial converter cable?

If so EFILive V4 will not work. EFILive V4 requires either a real RS232 serial port or a dedicated ALDL-USB cable (available here: www.moates.net).
