View Full Version : Killing Defuel?

With PPE announcing non-defueld shifts, and people reporting that the Allison shifts better this way (or seems to), I'm curious: How do you do it? I was told that the defuel comes from the base torque and torque based fuel tables (A1210 & A1109 respectively for DSP1, B1103-B1105 & B0742-B0744 for the main tables, I assume). I set A1109 to 110mm3, and discoverd that that's actually the amount of fuel the ECM is going to command to be dumped in (my fuel rates went way up for about 1/4 second). Obviously, I mis-understood something. What table(s) woult I need to change and how to kill defuel?

UMM I would make sure you have a built tranny before getting rid of defuel. Torque limited injection quanitity is the table.

Cougar, many tables contribute to no, or some amount, of defuel. Need to look at the tcm shift tables, torque based table, and fuel main rate table, and make them all work together.

The tranny does shift really well under full power without defuel except 5th then some is needed.

Rob, I wonder how long these Alli's are going to take shifting without any defueling? It would be nice if they take the spankin and ask for more but I'm just curious.

My LLY tuning had no defuel at the drag strip on all shifts except 4-5. Worked great all season long. My LBZ needs a little bit on certain shifts. Both runnning 12.0's

My LBZ shifts hard sometimes in 3rd and 5th.

Are those the shifts you are talking about Rob??

I really don't like my 5th gear shift-it kind of scares me sometimes.. It just doesn't feel right!
