Hi Guys,

I've done a few gas tunes but never a Diesel tune other than calibrate for tire size. I've got a customer thats just looking to get the speed limiter removed only on a '06 LBZ. I've looked at the tables and found that:

H0106 needs to be set to disable
H0105 to 140
H0109 to 139.9

What other tables need tweaking? I was told that the Rev limiter may also limit speed? Would fueling limit speed? Can anyone give me the rundown on what else is involved? Thanks in advance.

Here is the base file I'm working with but haven't made any changes yet:

The tables you mention will take care of it. Actually, 106 to "disable" kills it.

Thanks for the reply! I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

I made a few changes in some fueling tables to make sure they wouldn't be limiting...Click on History...

The truck will still be limited by RPM (boost, fuel, timing). But with the 6 speed, should still be able to hit 120mph.

At what RPM is this happening Rob?

At 3450rpm the truck will start to pull fuel(mm3), timinng and boost. Gets really bad about 3550rpm. EFI has the fix in beta and works great past 4000rpm. Really helps for shifting with big tunes on the lbz.

In this case I don't think it's needed. 120mph on the street is fast for these big trucks.

120 on the street and not enough brake to bring it down without some fade if standing on them.

No doubt...I pegged the speedo in my LLY several times, no longer interested in doing that in the LBZ...

Ive gone 120+ in my TrailBlazer, and it gets scary (and I have suspension work done too), but I can stand on the brakes and get back to 70 pretty quickly. But after a couple hard 90 or 80 to 60 stops, I get some fade. I read the Silverado beats the Ford Super Duty and Ram HD in everything but braking, which it was like 2x as long. So basically I think a brake upgrade is in order asap if you plan on going fast at all.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm waiting to get the customer back in to see what can be done. I think I'll let him try it and report back to me, I don't have much of an interest in driving a tank at mach 3 :)
