Nice joe!

where is the MAF Hrtz vs. rpm different from the stock MAF? How much resolution did you pick up.

Howard,
I'm only comfortable up to 4125hz. After that it goes to 0 ltft's. I need to get on a long clear road to get enough information.
At 6100 rpms map went from 94 to 98 kpa and the maf g/s line has no jagged spikes at all. It's smooth. I returned most A/F tables to stock, except for TCracker and that makes sense since I have a 3600 stall and an A4. I had to create DAF and VE(VE only close until I get motivated).

I missed the resolution answer.
The LS1 Maf table goes from 1500 to 12000. The LS7 from 1000 to 12200. I won't use the outside values, so nothing lost. But the LS1 values are 125hz apart vs 150 for the LS7. By filling in values I picked up some resolution. That was a lot of work and I'm not done. I think I'm close, though.

so did you have to change the reluctor wheel,
or does the LS7 have the 24X from stock?
if you changed it, did you have to completely disassemble the engine?

It's been converted to a wet sump and a 24x C5 reluctor wheel. Skoggins Dickey will convert it for a small upcharge and warranty it. Theres no point in converting it yourself.

Despite opinions to the contrary, there is just NO replacement for displacement.

Please post youre tune at Green Light motor sports. I am almost finished with a similar setup and would like to compare. I have a SDPC L92 427,RPM trans and 3.42 rear also. You have a very cool Vette. I think alot of us think more cubes is the way.
Thanx,

JFP,
I am fooling with my 100mm and just did a Auto MAF dial in and got similar results without having to push each resolution delta. Just put in rough valves, applied the BEN 3x, one smoothing and it was good!

Bruce,
It's much easier to work with and seems more stable. That's my experience with the install of the 100mm being the only change. I would do it whether it produces more power or not. I'm planning on dynoing in 2weeks. I am curious.

Joe,:master:
I would take the 100mm maf yesterday if I had the car home. It has been hard as the dealer doing my install is very reputable and I like them, but they lack experience in custom apps. This will be on my list first. I will try to order it tomorrow, so I have it ready for the final tune when I get my vette home.
Thanx for the knock sensor info. You and Bruce were right, LS2 wont work with 98 pcm, I had them tap the holes today for LS1 sensor. The KATECK harness extension only works on later than 98 LS1 knock sensors,so I will most likely have to play with it a bit. The dealer is about 90 miles away so its harder than normal but thats what happens when you move to the boone docks. By the way we had a Tornado today along with more snow and ice.
Thanx again,
Thor, 98 tigershark, tharley03@earthlink.net
P.S.have you seen the LewisFivemotorsports rear fenders. Very nice!

Thor,
Check with Bruce Melton. His package looks good, including the price. You will need to figure out what silicone couplers to use, depending on your setup.

What are your IAT temps? I noticed that my IAT temps read 13F higher.

Thanks

It depends on the month.
I can tell you that IAT's did not change. I paid particular attention when the MAF was changed. It likely has to do with the Vararam.

Before starting the car in the morning, IAT should be the same as ECT... Mine is not since I installed the 100mm lpe maf... Could it be that I inverted the cables? I think not, but..... It is still a resistor so it should work anyway around... I'll check the diagrams again today and check!

There's one hvac vent in my garage. During moderate outside temperatures the iat and ect are the same before startup. The a/c or heat likely has no affect. In cold weather the ect is a little lower and in warm weather ect is a little higher. Not much difference in either case.
