When FlashScan first powers up, it performs a series of diagnostics (Power On Self Tests or POST) to determine the integrity of the boot block and firmware that are stored in the on-board flash memory.
A failed POST is indicated by a unique pattern of LEDs that will flash 20 times, then FlashScan will attempt to reboot.
The unique LED patterns are described in the image below.
