can i do custom OS with efi v1 or do i need to get v2

The V1 will serve you well for the Custom OS's. What vehicle are we talking about here?

V1 "Commerical License" was needed for the COS and the LS1/LS6 when it was V1 only, but I think now all V1's are commercial version?

All relatively newly purchased V1s are. Older personal V1s can be upgraded to the commercial version for a very modest price.

ls1 corvette. :) i tried modifying to the 2002 but I had no luch cuz i tried the camaro one.
