View Full Version : Can I change the knock sensor frequency.

I am tuning a friends car and keep getting false knock. When the car had the stock modified exhaust it was taking 26* total with no knock. Now he has Borla straight pipes and it reads spark knock at the same rpm every time now. That rpm just happens to be where the exhaust changes pitch. I was looking at the knock tables and there seems to be some tables to change the frequency that the knock sensor reads. Will these tables help me? I don't want to delete the knock sensors but I am only running 20* total and still seeing false knock now.

I'd do it in B6244. Higher numbers = less knock sensor effect.

Might have some physical exhaust banging, rattling, etc. I would attempt to rectify that first before I'd jump into the software.

The exhaust is tight. We have gone over the car. I will try the table you suggested. I think I did but I went the wrong way with the numbers.
