Compression

Has anyone increased the compression of the Vortec 4200 yet?
My interest is to increase it to 12:1 or 13:1 Any ideas as to what the best way to do this would be? and what would be needed other then timing mods to the tune?

A thinner head gasket or shave down the head. Other than that you will need to change out the pistons.

Also you would need race gas....

Eh just lower the timing before you start it and have your WB ready to roll.
