It has finally dawned on me what is happening and why.

If your Windows Explorer, is configured to hide extensions for known file types you will get a $0185 error when dragging files from FlashScan to Windows.

Since *.efi and *.tun are known file types (they are registered to EFILive Scan and tune respectiviely) their extensions are not displayed. EFILive_Explorer.exe is getting confused and using the displayed file name without the extension instead of the real filename with the extension. That is why it gets a "file not found" error when it tries to read the file from FlashScan.

The short term solution is to change Windows Explorer to show file extensions and re-start EFILive_Explorer.
Meanwhile, I will fix EFILive_Explorer to handle that situation correctly.

To change Windows Explorer, Select the menu option:Tools->Folder Options...
and then the [View] tab page, and uncheck the "Hide extensions for known file types" checkbox. Then click [Ok].

Note: In Windows Vista, Press the Alt key to show the Windows Explorer menu.

Paul

HMM... I'm getting a $0185 tinkering with the new splashscreen features. I'll send you the tracefiles momentarily.

Blacky's remedy fixed my drag and drop problem. No issues with splash screen downloads here.
