I have had two occurences now of not being able to read the lbz/lmm allison tcm. one unit is a medium duty the other a regular silverado.

Check status returns normal information.

when try to read the tcm efilive gets stuck at
initializing tcm,

status bar never moves, two leds on right of v2 interface a blinking

I have let sit for just over 5 minutes, hit the stop button
and get the normal message of data transfer interupted.

after several attempts the tcm data corrupts and efilive reports missing calibration. (have to reload using tech2)

I have the december 31 bbl updates installed.

any ideas?

I just discovered the same thing (Except I didn't corrupt the TCM.... I don't think). Neither the Dec 19 or 31 FW works with the 06+ TCM, and the Dec 31 does not work with the 01-05 TCM. Kept bombing out in the middle of the read (usually between 1 and 2 minutes).

I'll check this when I get back on Monday, I don't think Paul has a 6spd Alli TCM to test with.

Cheers,
Ross

Any update on this? I am still unable to read my LMM TCM even after the latest firmware update.

Very sorry guys, I currently don't have a V2 with BBL installed here, it is working ok with the older non BBL firmware. I'll get Paul to get one to me ASAP.
Again, sorry I let this slip by.

Cheers,
Ross

quick update, found another V2, upgraded it to BBL, and I have the exact same TCM read issue as you guys are having.
I'll send the details to Paul.

Cheers,
Ross

I have reproduced the problem here and a fix has been made to the beta firmware. It is being tested now...

Awesome. I had this issue the other day while trying to read a 07 classic TCM at the dyno.

any update on how the firmware update went? is it available for download?

I need to adjust a couple units for larger tires and it appears i have to adjust both trans and engine controllers.

Unfortunately Paul does not have a TCM in NZ, I will need to send mine over to him to work the issue out. We tried over the last few days to do it via Email etc but it's just not happening, sorry.

Cheers,
Ross
