How about reading us a bedtime story while we're waiting.

I would like to know about the "Workshop Version" that
has the unlimited vehicles capability, especially. Being as
I'm pretty well covered now for personal tuning, that would
be the version that would be add a lot to my capability
(like going semi-pro on the local tuning scene). 8 or 10 VINs
I'd already be halfway through, just from the local buddies
with 2002 FBodies I've been helping out (unrestricted there).

Some points of particular interest:

Is this version also going to have "existing customer discounts"
(and against what pricing)? I want to see something that beats
the not-so-hot Edit and HPTuners "pro" pricing structure, the
latter being pretty steep if you really wanted to tune everything
GM made, ala carte licensing with no quantity breaks.

What-all vehicles are going to be covered in the first release of the
"Workshop" version, what ones are planned to be added (say,
within the year), which are "forget about it"? V8s only? '97/'98s?
V-6s?

What capabilities will be in the "Workshop" version beyond the
basic FlashScan/7.0? OS editing like HPTuners? Any support or
templates (like, say, for righteous speed-density tuning, enabling
lean cruise on US vehicles, etc.)? Extended bidirectional controls
or more real time tuning tables? Other swell things I haven't imagined?

If I were going to invest thousands of dollars into turning a hobby
into a sideline business, tell me a good story about the three bears
and the just-right bowl of porridge.

You too, 2 kids are enough to read bed time stories to.

We have no plans for V6, that market will be covered by HPTuners and DHP when they release their software.
97/98, not a priority (for us), esp with the new seperate Eng and Trans controllers arriving soon.
97/98 is going to be open source for anybody who wants to help develop for them, we won't get any $$ for what is done with 97/98's.
It will be a true group development thing with no u-turns 6 months on.

Many more parameters to change, the really dangerous and complex stuff that we should not allow somebody trying to learn how to tune get hold of!!

Personally I don't want my a$$ sued by the EPA by enabling an ILLEGAL fueling mode on US vehicles, you wanna bypass the platform check, go for it, I don't think we will support such a thing though.

Extended bi-di controls, we pretty much do all the PCM supports now.

We are not sure what will be offered in the form of changes to the O.S, we have been doing those things internaly for a few years now, stuff like twin spark maps when Mafless, Valet mode (switchable speed limiter), using 'spare' outputs for various functions, however, given GM have like 20+ operating systems out there it would be some major work to add all this into each and every one.....but, never say never.

I am not a salesman, if you need to be convinced to buy something then you probably didn't need it in the first place
