Does any one no why my car would be running really rich when i have my ifr's set to what they are supposed to be for 42lb injectors and when i set them leaner to 5.507813 it runs really good and idles good now too. When i set the ifr's to 6.110675 it runs terrible. Ive looked at several tunes with 42lb injectors and none of them have their ifr's set as High as the injector calculater says they should be. I must be missing something or miss understanding?

Have you tried the auto VE again Adam?
With the IFR set correctly I imagine it would make a difference.

Yes, now that your IFR table has changed, your VE table will have to change also. And if you were previously MAF-tuned, your MAF table may have to change also.

Are you sure you have 42-pound injectors? It sounds like they're 36-pounders based on the fact that the engine runs better when you use 5.50 rather than 6.11. That may sound like a stupid question, but I can't tell you how many times I've found injectors that don't flow anywhere near the rate that the seller claimed.

Well i am going by what the seller told me on ebay, so i guess you may be right! Is there any marking on them that i can tell. They are the bosh green ones, Let me know thanks Adam

http://users.erols.com/srweiss/tableifc.htm - great table lookup for part numbers.
http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_Sets.html - great list of images for cross referencing part numbers.

Good point, I agree with dfe1 and scdyne... look up the part numbers.

You guys were right, i found out i have 40lb instead of 42 lb, and they are a high impediance injector and they are rated at 43.5 psi so should i change my fuel rail pressure to 43.5 instead of 58?

Measure your rail pressure with maifold reference hose disconnected (it should be 58 psi or close);
insert this number into the calculation.

(remember to reconnect the reference hose).

ok will do, i have one other question, have you guys ever had a motor use one quart of oil in a 1000 miles. I built this motor from bottom up and the first 500 miles i ran regular oil (not synthetic) Then I changed it out to full sythetic castrol oil and when i went to drive it tonight the low oil indicator came on. I checked it and it was about 1.25 quarts low. I do alot of hard driving but i thought that was alot of usage. Any thoughts? It doesn't seem to smoke at all and the oil doesn't smell burned. And i don't seem to see any leaks.

Check to see if oil is getting thru PCV plumbing... if so, you may need a catchcan... or maybe use thicker oil.

One of the problems with the stock LS1 crankcase venting system is that it can pull oil in through the valve cover vent tube. Check to see if there's any oil in the line that connects the valve cover tube to the throttle body, or any significant amount of oil in the throttle body or intake manifold. You may find that switching to a LS6-style valley cover (which incorporates a vent) and plugging the valve cover vent will solve the problem. If that isn't the issue, you may have valve seal or ring seal issues.

By the way, if you want to have your injectors flow checked, I'd advise contacting Chuck at Cody Motorsports

40lb at 58psi - your IFR should be 5.819691

I use the PLX wideband and find it to be a great unit
There are alot of different brands and everyone will have their opinion on each but no-one can give you a deffinite "buy this" answer.
The PLX was cheap and it's a quality unit.

I bought this one: http://www.plxdevices.com/products/dm5/afrsmcombo/

Plug and play.
I used the cig lighter for mine.
Use the same ground for the PLX unit as for the input into the EFILive box.
Pull one O2 sensor out and strap it up out of the way and just screw the WBO2 sensor into the bung hole. I'd suggest a little antisieze on the threads of the sensor.
