The latest version of Live is not tracking an E40 VE table like its suppose to. When I open the last version and the matching log and tune file, no problem. I checked the cal link folder to make sure that those pids are setup and they are. WTF??

It does track the rpm but not the KPA. While we are on the subject; which is the correct pid when logging the horizontal axis of the timing table?? I can't get that to track either. The link is noted as GM.DYNCLAIR_DMA. APCL_E40_DMA is the only correct pid shown.

What is going on??? Been tuning too many E38s!!!

Thanks

Howard

I had trouble with these two also. For the spark I logged GM.APCYL_E40_DMA and had to change the cal_link.txt in the various spark tables to make it work. CALC.CYLAIR_LS2 is listed in the Tuning tool, but it is not in the scan tool to select. I will have to look into what I changed for the VE table to work properly.

I logged those same pids as they seem the most logical for "load". Sounds like the link noted in the load axis is not labled properly. I'll change add that to the cal link folder and see if it tracks it. If can confirm it that would be great.

Thanks

How about this..........

I went and changed the cal link file to show APCYL_E40_DMA where it showed another load pid............when I changed it, it also changed the link name in the heading in the tune file! I always thought that the link name in the tuning software was hard written and changing the cal link info just matched it up behind the scene.

Needless to say I got all my spark tables to link but still can't track MAP vs. rpm in the Main VE table. You would figure they where some basic pids.....

Howard,

- in the scantool, make sure that the MAP pid has Metric units (PIDs F8 tab);
- in the tunetool, go Edit->Configure Display Units and for the VE table make sure that the row or col (whichever is MAP) has units kPa; actually, set the units for anything that uses MAP to kPa (you can sort rows or cols by clicking on their heading at the top of the configure units window).

Duh!:bash:

The units where set to imperial in the F8 tab! :bash:

Al what did you change the txt file to read? I'm having the same problem with my B5101 tracking the scan tool and since DYN.CYL.AIR is an invalid PID for E40 I'd like to change mine too!

WOOPS!

I just figured this out. Just put in GM.APCYL_E40_DMA into the txt file. Now works well.....I'm off to a bigger burnout.

Ignorance is bliss, and necessity is the mother of invention. I wonder if I can stuff another LS2 in my trunk and have duals?

Thanks, John:cucumber:
