Hey guys I just got my FlashScan V2 the other day and I have been trying to get bbl setup. My problem is that no matter what I do, I can't get the V2 to recognize or format a SD Card. I have tried 3 different cards. I have it set to log to SD Card, but when I go into options and get SD info, I get $0414 error. When I try to check free space it says 'Space Unknown!'. When I try to format a card it says 'Formatting...' and then says the card could not be formatted. I have formatted the cards in a pc and added the correct folders, but the V2 still can't read the cards. Any ideas what the problem could be?

What brand and size is the card?

Welcome to the forum PoolShark.
To help diagnose your problem, it would be very helpful for you to post the brand and size of the card, as Tordne suggested, as well as the build number of the scan, tune and efilive_explorer, and the firmware (include the date) you are using in V2.

I have tried a 16mb SanDisk, a 64mb SanDisk, and a 1gb PNY card all with the same results. The scan and tune build is 36, I am not sure how to find the build of EFI Explorer, I think it is 8.1.1.19? The firmware is 2.5.15, Jan 07 2008, and the bootblock is 2.5.04, Oct 1 2007.

It may be a faulty FlashScan. I've not heard of a FlashScan that has failed to read an SD card but I guess there is always a first time.
You may return it for warranty repair to: Fish Tuning in CA, phone:(310) 499-0989.

Update: I sent the V2 to Fish Tuning and Ira took care of me. There was a pin on the board that needed to be soldered. I just got it back and it is working great.
