08 Silverado 2500HD

Hey guys, im a longtime user of EFilive for a 2000 TA. I just recently purchased a 08 Silverado (i think the LMM diesel). The truck has 1k miles on it at this point, but the price of diesel is going up by dimes a day it seems. I heard rumors of a efi reflash that nets around 20mpg. Im getting about 14 at the moment. This is my first diesel vehichle so im trying to understand the risk/reward/feasibility of getting better mpg and still keeping the tq/hp.

Anyone have any advice?

Didn't get past 16 mpg with my lbz till I had 20k on her. I'm sure a tune will net you a little better mpg's but she needs to loosen up a bit also. My $.02:Eyecrazy: RR

So is it worth voiding the warranty? I assume now that the dealers can tell a flash has been done they will always point the finger.
