Vista EFILIVE problem

Has anyone running Vista had a problem with loosing connection between PCM and laptop when using scan tool. (ie looking at dashboard or logging)
PLZ help

Mine would freeze up occasionaly if I did not restart the computer before starting to log... I called dell and my new laptop needed a new video driver... You might want to check if all your hardware updates are up to date...

Thanks for the reply, I have up dated all software and drivers. I even tried a different laptop with the same specs and got the same problem, my V1 cable works fine on a buddys laptop, but his is using XP so I figured the problem was in vista or the way HP sets up their laptops

It is Vista , call and ask if you can get XP , some will still switch out to XP if the customer wants it .

Thanks for the info but i cant swap out my laptop because I got it from ubid.com Its kinda like ebay. I guess I can buy XP from somewhere?

Maybe try connecting the car via a usb hub.
