View Full Version : TCC Locking up in 2nd - Programming says it shouldn't!

I've changed the TCC functions in 3rd and 4th gear but have made no changes to 2nd gear. (the tables still read stock @ 256). Went and made some wot runs and it felt like the car was just straining early on. Logged some data and can't figure out what I found! On a wot run, everything was fine except as soon as the PCM commanded 2nd gear, it also commanded TCC enable. It then stayed enabled until the command was given for 3rd gear. What the heck! Did some regular street logging and found that TCC enable is commanded during 2nd gear all the time (3rd and 4th are working as normal) I even tried to command TCC to off in bi-directional controls - went and did a wot and got the same results?!

Why is this?? Any chance that there is a glitch and changing my 3rd gear tables somehow corrupted something? My setup info is below.

Mark,
Log the following and then post a chart image:
TPS, RPM, VSS, ECT, MAF, MAP, GEAR, TCCDC, TCMODE, TCCSLIP, TFMDC, TFT, TSTATE0, TSTATE10, TSTATE12

Arrgghhh....
I just remembered that you can't chart the TSTATE pids;
for these, you would have to create a calculated pid extracting the bit from the TSTATE that we're interested in (we're interested in any TCC bits), and then you can chart these.
