Hey it looks like I cut out all the down under cars except a few 2007 cars.
Sorry. I will try to edit them back in.

If any one want to add to it please do. I like the TIS Disc # :hihi:

01-05 GMT800 ECM-TCM Comms is CAN (J1939), not GMLAN... 06-07 GMT800s are GMLAN. JustFYI (Otherwise I could make a 06 TCM work in my 04 easily). Dont see LB7's in there...

CalEditor, I appreciate you uploading these, but I fear these might be copyright documents, happy for you to put a link to an off site host.
I'll be pulling them down directly off our server in 24hrs.

Cheers,
Ross

LLY's are E60, no clue what LB7's are. I should be able tell you when I get an LB7 ECM though. Like I said, I'm 99% sure the E60 uses J1939 for ECM/TCM/GPCM/FICM comms; IIRC, connecting the A40 GMLAN pins to the CAN bus crashes the bus causing all kinds if problems (Codes, no-start, floods, plagues, death and destruction); I could probably try it this weekend and see what happens... I've never done it, but someone else that has been tinkering with the A40 did.

Edit: According to Mitchel Ondemand5, 2005 (and 2004LLY) Duramax uses a "SAE J1939 Serial Data Bus" (CAN) for the ECM, TCM, FICM and GPCM inter-module comms. Apparently, the Hybrid (If it exists) uses GMLAN for ESB/SGCM/EHPS/HCM/PCM comms.

This is the PCM that is used on 2004 and 2005 FWD Cadillacs. It looks like a E22, but it has Transmission functions. If you know what it is please tell me.

It might disturb you to know that GM sent a couple of Caddy's over to Aus for the GMH Powertrain calibrators to have a play with.

I hear the 8 speed auto's change gears without you knowing they have shifted. The power and torque seems endless.

The FWD Cadillac's are still 4 spd's. We were told that they would get a 6 spd in 2006. We still haven't seen that. I think 2010 or 2012 they will no longer offer a FWD Cadillac. At least that is the rumor.

They should not have offered it on 1967 Eldorado either, but that is my humble opinion :)

I believe you may be thinking of the Lexus Mick.
I know my buddy at GM said they got a LX 460/90???something to play with as a 'benchmark' transmission to aim for.
Said if he held his hand over the tacho and planted his foot it would shift up through the gears and you wouldn't even know it had changed gears. He also said he was looking at his laptop or something and when he finally glanced at the guages he was surprised to see he was travelling at in excess of 200kph (on a test track of course)...he had no idea he was going that fast.
