The .vml files have very cryptic names. Is one of them capable of reading the data stream from a 1995 GMC Sierra? How about a 1995 Ford F-150?
Thanks.

Hi Keith,

Sorry for the names we are planning on a new release of the software with many updates - including better descriptions for the supported vehicles.

Just for your info, the GM names that we work from are even more cryptic. They are just numbers from "001.ds" to about "290.ds" (where the ds extension just means datastream).

Unfortunately the software is only designed to support GM's ALDL protocol and won't work on Ford vehicles (that I know of).

Regards
Paul

If you can send me the 8th letter/digit from the VIN, and the engine size from the GMC I can tell you which file to use.

Just in case anyone else reads this post (so they are not confused), the files are *.xml not *.vml, but I think that is what you meant anyway.
