View Full Version : Ideal Blower WOT AFR Curve

After putting together bits and pieces from other posts on here and ls1tech I've come up with a (hopefully) ideal WOT fuel curve for us centrifugal blower cars. This is for 8-10 psi on a stock motor. Advice from other posts include making the AFR 11.5 at peak torque ~ 5200 and lean it up to 12.0 at redline.

Any comments?

I'm going back to the dyno to shore up my PE table and was going to run with this AFR curve, unless anyone has suggestions...

My last PE tweak was from a 3rd gear 50-110 mph run on the highway late at night and it's dialed in pretty good. Since 1st/2nd gears show much richer AFR I figured 4th would be lean the way I have it now. I'm going back to the track in a month or so and I want to make sure that 4th gear's fueling is good and safe.

Personally, I wouldn't lean it back out, especially with a centrifugal that continues to build boost. With an N/A setup, I've seen a negligible difference in power from 11.5:1 and 12.5:1. With a boosted setup, the thermal protection provided is even more important.

If the power difference from leaning out up top is negligible then I'll take it down a bit. I'll leave a little leanout in just because it makes the graph look cool... :cool:
