The engine is a 5.7L Vortec bored .030 over with an eagle stroker assembly, ported and polished vortec 64cc heads, ported Mercruiser marine efi intake with 29lb injectors, ported throttle body, msd 6al ignition, .550 lift beehive springs, crane aluminum roller rockers 1.5 ratio, comp cam 08-467-8: Lift: .576"/.570" w/1.6 Rockers Duration: 280°/288° RPM Range: 2000-6000

Does anyone have a map that i can use as a starting point for my tunung for this engine in my 2001 s-10 with the 0411 pcm? Any help would be great, thanks

This is my current tune with a 383/ same rotating assy as yours. zz4 cam, marine intake with the same injectors, 1.5:1 roller rockers, but I am using the 4l80e transmission. you will need to do a trans segment swap. I am also using the 0411 ecm.... good luck.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! i currently have a v6 in my truck and have no starting maps to use for the v8 swap i plan on doing. This gets me even closer to installing the engine. How do you like the intake? are you having any problems with this tune?

I actually LOVE the intake. I installed it on the engine when it was just a 5.7L and it breathes so much better than the stock CRAP that comes from the factory. And with iron heads and a iron intake hopefully we wont ever have to worry about the common intake gasket failure like with a aluminum lower intake does in iron heads.

I haven't had any problems thus far. It is always a work in progress but the ve table is pretty much right on for my setup though. It doesn't have egr, vats, rear o2's, torque management, and a bunch of other things that pertain to my truck.
I do have another tune some generous person on here helped me with( to get my motor initially started) for a 383 with a larger cam than I have that uses the 0411 and I think a 4l60e... I'll post it if I can find it. it should be attached... but b/w the two tunes you should be able to at least get it running enough to do your own specific tuning for your engines needs.
Good Luck,
Robby

During the assembly of your engine, did you use an eagle stroker kit? do you have any pictures of the clearancing done to make it fit?
