What wire should connect to the middle EFI "pin out"? I have the yellow to the exterior of the tri terminal (the instructions said it didn't matter which one), but the instructions call for a "Signal Ground" to the center terminal. Further it clairifies the white and green.

Bottom line:
To what LC 1 wire do I connect to the EFI Live v1middle "pin out"? (if any)

Now I dont have a green, but I do have a blue and white. the EFI live instructions say to connect the blue system ground seperate from the signal ground. But the blue is the heater ground and the Innovate say to ground the white and blue together. Should I put all the ground together? Does it matter if the calibration wire is grounded to the same ground bus?

THanks!

I been using my LC-1 with V1 Flashscan for a while now, my wiring is as follows:

LC-1
Green Wire > Middle Pin on V1 Cable (Pin D)
Black Wire > Red Wire of LED & one side of the reset button
Blue Wire > 12V negative, Black wire of LED & other side of the reset button
White Wire > Connected to the LC-1 Blue Wire
Red Wire > 12V Postive
Brown Wire > Outside Pin V1 Cable (Pin E)
Yellow Wire > Outside Pin V1 Cable (Pin C)

I did this differently to instructions here http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=1530 because if my flashscan wasn't in the car and wanted to drive the LC-1 LED wouldn't flash solid because the white wire wasn't grounded (was using the flashscan to ground)

I don't have the green wire that is what's confusing me.

I'm dying over here!

anyone?

down to one wire on the middle pinout. My lc1 does not have a green wire and I'd hate to fry the system with trial and error.

Is it logical to assume that because I do not have a green wire but do have a white wire That the middle pin just goes with the white wire ground?

One set of instructions say connect it to the white and green (which I dont have). But I do have a white (system ground) and blue (heater ground) wire which are supposed grounded together.

Therefore it is logical to wire the middle to the white wire's ground.

And I will ground the black calibration wire else where.

Which is what I'm going to do now.

connect the white wire to the V1 ground.
the blue is for heater ground.
the grounds don`t need to be touching each other,
but need to be grounded from the same source.
the LC1 instructions tell you to connect
the white (and green) to the data logger.

I just read the user manual for LC-1 http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/support/manual/LC-1_Manual.pdf (page 4) and there is 2 different versions of the LC-1 a 6 wire and 7 wire version. I've got the 7 wire version.

Your best bet would be to connect the white wire to PIN D, I've done this in the past (with the green wire) with no issues. Remember you can program the LC-1 to output a flat voltage which you can test on ignition only (before starting the car.)

Always ensure the LED has stopped flashing and is showing a solid light. And I wouldn't use the car unless the flashscan is always plugged in because it's providing ground to the white wire (system ground)

I read on Innovate site the other day the 6 wire LC-1s are giving some problems , and having to be repaired , not all 6 wire has the problem .

OMG!!!

Thank you so much on the heads up on the 6 wire LC-1. Unreal.

I just bought the unit in January.

THe way I understood the schematic, I was going to connect the lc1 white to a ground and the efi live D pin out to the same ground. Same thing right?

You wouldn't just terminate the white wire into the efi live would you?
