You must have a magic tune. I really want to see it.:angel_innocent:

On a more serious note. Why is your TCC slip so High? It should be around 4%.

prob. cause its a high stall.. i perfer not to post the tune cause i spent money and time on it, and i feel that others should do the same if they want to see similar results... you will never learn if you look and copy other peoples tunes.

i will always help others, but not show my tune...

No, it's not because it's a high stall. A yank 4000 will slip around 4-5% at 7000 rpms. Your losing time and MPH with that much slip. It's either an oddball converter or there's a problem.
Your reasoning escapes me on not sharing your tune. It won't work for anyones car but yours. But, that's your decision, you get back what you give.
You have a slip pid selected. Divide the slip by rpms=%. The higher you turn the engine the lower the slip%.

the verter is a 4500rpm stall so 6.5% slip dont sound too bad... this is unlocked, 6.5% slip @ 7016 rpm's

Your slip is 1078/7016=15.4%.

4% with an SS3600, which is pretty efficient. It will be a bit lower at 6900 rpms.
My PT 4000 was 5% at 6700 rpms.

"this is unlocked"....Perhaps the reason for the slip %??

I thought if a car was making more power then the converter was set up for, then the slip increases. Isn't this what people mean when they say they're "blowing through the converter?"

No, we are talking about unlocked. Suggest you find out if this is normal for this converter. It's odd that the slip decreases when you kick it down.

Yes, but we have no information on the car but it shouldn't be the problem. PI should be able to tell him with some information about his setup.

I've had 4 different converters for different setups. I bought them new from Yank and always told them what my setup was. My worst was 95% efficient. I believe my current one will be about 96% or slightly better. I had 3 passes and it was shifting early, but had to leave the track. My efficiency always improved as RPMs increased. Yank was adament about me running this converter. They had just finished testing with setups similar to mine.
So your point is well taken. Is this converter right for this car?
