View Full Version : Lc1,e-85 ?

I am thinking of running my truck on E-85. I know the LC1 has 2 configurable outputs. I have Channel 1 set up for gas. Would I be able to setup channel 2 out of the LC1 for E-85 and use the channel 2 wire into my V1? If so, Does anyone know what I should set channel 2 output numbers to---for E-85?
I am sure the E-85 tuning will get more popular now that gas prices are so high.

John has come up with a different pid at the end of the thread that could help. the whole thing should be easily tested by logging both & comparing BEN's from both the AFR & EQ method.

I missed that thread somehow. I may wait a bit on this. I am VERY happy with my B3647 COS3 table. It is in AFR, and I understand AFR. The truck runs great on 93 Octane. I think I will try to learn and understand more about EQ ratios. I am having trouble getting my head rapped around EQ.

Jeff,

EQ = stoich/AFR where stoich depends on your fuel (and is specified in your tune file... e.g. B3601).

Make a spreadsheet of this equation for AFR ranging from 11 to 15 in 0.2 increments.

Think of EQ like this: EQ 1.05 means 5% richer than stoich, EQ 0.95 means 5% leaner.

EQ could also be thought of as a "multiplier".
