Full reflash from different year and car

If I was to flash my 99 GMC with a 01 Holden bin would it work and im talking a full reflash or are two totally different monkeys? I hear of people using holden bins on camaros. Just curious

I'm almost 100% certain that this can be done (running different source OS's).

I would go with the 12225074 OS if you are looking at the Holden ones. That is still the OS used up to the latest version of the vehicles.

The 12225074 OS relates to EFILive Custom OS series 0129000x - which I have been running in my Commodore since day one (and have been very impressed).

01290003 is there too :)

Gas gauge seems not to work on going frlom holden to camaro and another little neat thing for gas :lol:

Yeah... I have a Holden and the fuel PIDS like Fuel Remaining etc. don't work :cry:

my gauge would not work at all i even copied them from the stock bin of the camaro to the holden bin just stays on E. Can anyone help with getting this to work

12225074 was an Australian only O.S release, there is in fact very little difference between it and 12202088 which was used on alot of US vehicles (cars and trucks).

For the US vehicles stick with 12202088 as there will be no base file for 12225074 to suit your vehicles. As you have found, the Holdens do not use the PCM to do the fuel guage (amonst other things).

So it safe to still use the bin? i dont mind being without gauge i can scarfice somethings for others HEHE if you know what i mean

There is really no need to, I would personally stick with the 12202088 base program, they add 1, yes just 1 more parameter into 12225074, it is not like a major code change.

There is ALOT more in the calibrations that we know about, I could not predict the results of running a Holden calibration on anything but a Holden.
