Can we have a post where this info is readily available?

I get a bit lost with every single update searching what firmware and bootblock we should have.

It would be most helpful.

Thanks

I get lost in the post, too. Partly because I don't have time to be a library of the forum.

But, we know it wasn't packaged to be a production install.

The next update will be posted on our main download page here:
http://www.efilive.com/download.aspx
(Hopefully it will be available in the next 6-8 hours, we just need to update the web site page/links).

From then on, all major updates will be available as auto updates. Just click the "Check for new updates" link in the EFILive start menu.

Minor updates and bug fixes will still be delivered as downloadable zip files.

Regards
Paul

All I'm saying is a simple post that says:
Current Firmware: xxxxx
Current BootBlock: xxxx
Current version
Current Build

Thay way I know where to ;look.. .I used to be a forum junkie... now I can't and that is not a bad thing actually :)

Hey Paul.... I keep hearing about and seeing you talking about firmware 2.5.18 but I can't find it anywhere....

I checked all the 7.5 and 8.1 folders and can't seem to locate it.....

Does anyone out there know where to get it.????

Download the 8.1.1.32 file and install. The new 2.5.18 firmware is there. Also, if you don't have build 64 of 7.5.4 installed yet download and install that also.

Ok, but...... I've been updating the V8 stuff with the automated web installer.....Did I miss something? Where does the firmware go when using the automated version???

I'm going to take a wild-assed guess that it's in EFILive/V8.1/Firmware.

The automatic update deal did not pick those up for me. I installed them manually from the download page.

Then I just opened up EFILive Explorer and updated the firmware from there. :)

Correct! The elusive .18 firmware was not bundled in the automatic online download.....

You have to manually download the file and install it.....
