found the tun files where ya said to look, i just assumed they would be stored in the same directory as the executable,

but WOW look at all the parameters that are not on the other tuners out there, you guys must have talked to Mick over at gmpcm, he too believes in showing all adjustable parameters where possible.

Is it true there is no support for V6? only V8?

Take that up with Blacky

Mick, never met the guy, but you might as well put as much as possible in the editor, not everybody will know what to do with it but there is enough smart tuners out there who will.

No V6. DHP and HPTuners are welcome to battle out that market.

Cheers.

Ooops, sorry, I missed this point.....

We will initially be supporting, 2000,2001,2004.
What?? I hear you ask.
It comes down to the fact that EFILive is an NZ/Australian based company, GM Australia has only exposed us to the Operating Systems / PCM's used in these years and that's what our initial R&D and product testing was based around. So we have had plenty of experience with the above listed. But, 2000, 2001 and 2004 includes the US vehicles as well.

Having said that, we spent alot of time designing our software so adding in model years and additional tables/parameters was a fairly easy task (which means it was very hard to do at the programmers level).
So, for the 1999,2002 and 2003 vehicles they are entered into our development system already, we just need to verify everything for those years before releasing to the public.

Cheers,
Ross

Just out of curiosity (this has probably been answered before), what's causing the lack of support for the 1998 PCM? I own an 2002, so it itsn't a problem for me... I'm just curious.

98 f-body support is coming, but most likely only after the software is officially release... but with the market I would say it should be a short time before the 98 cal is worked out.

From my understanding the 98 calibration will be mapped out by the end user so once everyone gets together then we should have a working 98 cal.

The beta testers will also be working on this... I’m one of the 98 owners and I know of the few others that will help push the 98 development.

You say the LS2's are in the works....I plan on purchasing a 2006 C6/Z06 Vette (1 year away!) so I assume that will still be supported and cables etc will still work once the cal is worked out? What happens if GM decides to change the OBDII port or electrical system etc. will you still support then?

By the way the NEW upgrade pricing is fair in my book and more in line with what I expected! The pricing will justify the long wait! :)

Both of the vehicles that I plan to use with FlashScan are not on the initial model years list. Do you have any rough idea when the other years will be available? I will be using FlashScan with my 2002 Corvette and 2003 Silverado.

** UPDATE **

The initial release will now support the following 2002, 2003 Operating systems.

2002 - 12212156, 12221588, 12593358.
2003 - 12577216, 12574905, with 12593058 nearly finished.

Check in EFILive (if you already have it) which Operating Systems your vehicles are currently running.
We will probably have a 'supported vehicles' page up soon.

Cheers,
Ross

Well it sort of comes down to bad timing really, we can only do so much here and with alot of smart guys out there with 1997/98 LS1's we figured we would be better off letting the 1997/98 community develop their own calibration info that would become free to all Flashscan users, such things already exist for the older generation of L98 and LT1 editors and tend to work pretty good.
Right now, once we have all LS1/6 operating systems covered we want to get stuck right into the LS2 computer. Our initial findings from the one we have in a million pieces here is it very different to the current PCM's, in fact GM 'appear' to have gone backwards (the main spark tables are now 8bit values not 16bit). So don't expect the LS2 to be ready by release date because there is still alot of work to go with them and that is what we want to put all our efforts into.

Cheers,
Ross

Found it. Looks like the 2003 C5 has the same OS as 2002: 12221588.
