It always makes me nervous seeing these types of questions, and generally responsible people don't want to answer them on the internet, for obvious reasons.

Very valid need to switch it off when doing Duramax conversions in to something other than a Chev/GMC truck.
If a car thief was smart enough to read/program a truck to steal it then they would probably have a real job anyway :)
