Is there a way to set the fans lower on the E38 to something below the 192 shown on the table? Table G0901

Did you do the fan patch? Then you can.
You might need to have efiv2 plugged in to enable the feature I cant remember.
But there is a patch to lower the temps in the table.

I must not be in the circle for this. I guess I wait until it is part of the auto update process.

Thanks

The Fan patches have been out for sometime, but we are hearing from people that in the latest version they are not displaying correctly.
You can find the patch within the Folder "Operating System Patches".

OK. Maybe this explains why on two cars this last week it didn't work. Using the latest sofware. Now what?

I've had the same issue this week with the E38. I set B9904 to applied, performed a full reflash, reread the tune back out and I still have 192 as the min fan setting.:chair: Did I miss a step? I rechecked B9904 and it is still applied.

There is a problem with the fan patch from build 64 on.
Paul and Ross are aware of the problem

Is this a difficult issue to fix?

Can the activation of these "patches" be made to be part of the auto update process? Having to add patches to update the software seems a little bohemian to me.

If you patch it it works, it just shows the wrong values in the software. At least thats what it looks like to me. I set the start value to 91 and on cold startup fans were going full bore.
