Download the latest EFILive V7.3 pre-release 003 software here:
http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_730.html
A complete CD-based software installation package will be available soon.
Please post any issues in this thread.
The 003 update, was to apply a work-around to EFILive so that EFILive can read PCMs reflashed by GM's TIS programming system which 50% of the time delete the PCM's hardware number and VIN.

I can't unzip cal_03.zip. I've tried on two different computers and get a message that the file is invalid or corrupt. All other files unzip fine.

If I'm on a custom O/S and the custom .tun file has not been updated (as it appears mine hasn't 0411003), is it still necessary to full flash the custom O/S in dead poll and re apply the tune?

No updates have been made to the *.tun files - you do not need to do a new full reflash. The new calibrations will be available simply by downloading and installing the matching *.cal file for your operating system.
The *.tun files will only ever be updated if/when Ross adds new features to those operating systems.

Sweet! So I should just be able to fire up the scanner for a CASE learn to clear up the little CKP issue?
Also, the new "smooth / fill" feature when copying maps intrigues me. I wonder how good it might be in the early stage of BEN mapping where you're unable to populate as many cell as you might have liked to. I've got a boosted VE table that needs a chain saw with multiple BEN logs because I started out so high. It's difficult to fill that sucker up on a public highway.

That's exactly what it was designed for :)
Set the smooth weight inthe MAP property window to 100.

I like it!
The download page does have a typo (or my drunk eyes aren't reading it right) on step 5

Yep, and steps 10, 11, 12 and 13 were wrong as well. All fixed now.

After opening a second file to do a compare, the compare icons don't appear on the screen. They're on the pull-down Calibration menu (Ctrl+ 4, 5 and 6)and function properly, but previously, they showed up on the page for whatever table was open. Software problem or user problem?

just finished installing -002. Will "EFILiveV730_Pre-release_003.zip" suffice to get us updated from 002?

Disregard, apparently fixed by pre-release 3 or by 03 cal file.

In 1, it says to download EFILive_stock_cal_20050824.zip (http://www.efilive.com/downloads/os/EFILive_stock_cal_20050824.zip) and also, "All 11 files from this page (http://www.efilive.com/downloads/downloads_os.html)." This results in downloading EFILive_stock_cal_20050824.zip twice.
The build numbers in 13 appear to need updating, for example obdiiV7.dll says 412 but after installing this update I have 417.

You're right about downloading twice - I'll fix the instructions.
And I'll update the build numbers.

FRom the Pre-release_003 Download page:
After the pre-release has been installed, you should check that the following version numbers are displayed in the Help->About window:
Tuning Tool V7.3.0 (Build 268)
Scan Tool V7.3.0 (Build 277)
obdiiV7.dll: V7.3.0 (Build 412)
Are these the updated build numbers?
I updated from 001 -> 002 -> 003 and I'm showing Build numbers 273, 281 and 417, respectively.
Cheers,
joel

I can still access alternate cals from the menu or with crtl 4/5, but I no longer see the buttons for ALT and CAL.
However, It now seems to let you view a standard and custom O/S based tune side by side. :D My taskbar thanks you.

One thing that confused me is that the flash options are listed as:
Read PCM calibrations
Program PCM calibrations
Program PCM operating system and calibrations
but since .tun files contain calibration and operating systems (see this post (http://efilive.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1804#13096)) shouldn't the first option be "Read PCM operating system and calibrations?"

I think you are only reading the calibration.

Read the post I referenced; Blacky says the file contains all of the flash which includes the operating system.

Leres - you are right. The .tun does contain the OS. when you flash you have the option to flash the calibration only or the whole thing.

Yes, I read the post. I didn't think we could "Read" the OS...only the calibration whether complete or partial. Maybe I don't understand the technique. Sorry.
