I read the file just fine, can open it and edit. Go to flash it back, and I get a dialog box saying no response from the PCM. I get another one saying the calibration is missing.??
OS number 0203003. Looks like a boost OS. Has boost tables in the custom OS section. But its an NA car.
Using 7.5 right now. Havent updated recently.
Any words of misdom??
PS it has previously been tuned via efilive.

The first thing to do would be to upgrade to V7.5.4.65 and firmware 2.5.19 (available as part of the 8.1.1 download).

Would being locked not have prevented me from reading it? I've run into other locked PCMs and couldnt read them. None that were tuned with EFIlive though. Does that make a difference?
BTW, I'll try downloading the upload and try again.

Are any of the other modules interfering with the bus...?
You should remove the fuses for things like On-Star, ABS, BCM, radio.

Did you press the Check Status button...?

If you press the Test button does the tunetool get a response from the PCM...?

In Edit->Properties->Options, uncheck the timer countdown...
then attempt to flash, after it fails copy the log text and post it here.

Doesnt look like anything is interfering.
I hit the Check status and get the OK. Then go to flash and it gives me the no go.
I'll see about copying over the log text. Heave never done it with EFIlive. May need help.
I'll go try and it and post back.

In the flash subwindow you see log text...

do these steps:
1. in the subwindow do rightclick->Select All, all the log text becomes highlighted
2. then on the highlighted text do rightclick->Copy,
3. in this thread paste the copied text (rightclick->Paste... same as you would normally).

Also, can you please locate the file:
\My Documents\EFILive\V7.5\Bug Reports\YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_Download.blx
where:
YYYYMMDD is the year, month and day
and:
HHMMSS is the hour, minute and second
that you attempted to flash the controller.

Please send that file to me at paul@efilive.com and
include a link to this message so that I can correlate
your file with this message.

OK, went back to it this morning, switched off the high speed, and it flashed it. Very odd.
Saturday, I could not get it to flash for anything. It was even dead after one attempt. Had to give it about 10 minutes, and then it fired up.
Very odd indeed.

Just something else trying to be louder on the bus from what it sounds like. USUALLY from an aftermarket radio. If you pull the power fuses or disconnect that radio interface box then all will be good.

V2 idiosyncrasy , sometimes if plugged into the Laptop then OBDII port it baulks , and if Laptop comes out of Hibernation it will refuse to see the PCM as well , unplug , replug , for other reboot Laptop .

If the B.S. does not smell it is because all the hot air dried it out .

:cucumber: Either that or you've been around it too long. !hijack

I know this is not a solution. Instead of replugging, try Ctrl+Cancel to reboot FlashScan, its easier and faster.

If the car voltage is not right up there it will be fluky as you describe. I have had PCMs get into an "Unknown" state and think I have lost the PCM only to flash normally after a battery recharge.
