The COS tutorial indicates that 12221588 maps to 02030003 (COS3).

Or if you copy all your tables (copy-with-labels, paste-with-labels) into 12212156 then you can run COS5 (if you feel incline to play with its features).

I wonder what the diff is between this OS and the one I have??? Note, I am not referencing the CUSTOM part, just the OP it self.

I was looking at COS5 and that OS looks like a good choice. I like the RPM VS TPS option. The way things are going right now, CL is not going to be a very good option for my setup. I get the tune just right w/VE, then I turn CL back on, car pulls hard, then the next day, its dumping in fuel w/LTFT. I suppose I could keep lowering the stoich A/F I'm tuning to until the FTs are neutral as it apparently thinks the engine is leaner at idle that indicated.

In any case, does anybody have a good idea how to setup the VE table for COS5? I was thinking about just pasting in the stock one, then go from there, then gently test throttle positions with RTACS filters.
If someone has written a CALC PID such as "if this RPM/TPS, then this A/F", please send it!. I'm thinking about running OL SD mode, setting PE vs RPM to 1.0 and use OL SD mode.

If anybody has done this, please let me know of any recommendations you may have.

I guess the regular VE table is replaced with this one?

The COS5 (http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=2599) thread explains it. The thread is lengthy but there is a lot of good bits in it. The basic process is to create a map resemblig the TPSVE table, and use the GMVE PID for the data parameter. This builds the base map then you use the AutoVE concept to fine tune it.

So I've been peiodically trying to upgrade to COS 5 in my Z06, but haven't been able. I think it's because I don't have 12212156 at any point. Where can I get the stock OS 12212156??? It seems that may be the source of my problems before (since COS5 doesn't come for the 02030xx systems...)

tazinhawaii first start with a 2002 manual file for your ZO6. It can be found here:
http://www.holdencrazy.com/EFILive/TuneFileRepository/Stock/Chevrolet/2002%20Chevrolet%20Corvette%20Coupe%20Manual%20LS1 %205.7%20Litre%20(PCM%2012212156).tun
Then copy and paste all of your info into the new file and follow the custom OS tutorial.

Thanks. I figured it out last night after deciding to give it one more try. The car is now running on COS5.

Thank you
