So I was playing around today and found this PID. So I decided to try it. Anyone else try this and compare it to a dyno run? How accurate was it? I did one log with it taking off from a stop sign and got 693 HP with only 4.5psi of boost in first and second gears. Now I'm thinking I need to do a bansai run and see what it comes up with.....

Some things to note:
- you need accurate gross vehicle weight (including payload),
- 10 frames/second won't give good results (40+ would be better),
- this pid uses the rate of change in VSS to compute power that remains to accelerate vehicle on road after overcoming all resistances... dyno is completely different environment,
- this pid becomes less accurate as the rate of change of VSS increases.

Thanks. I can't even find what weight it's using. It seemed kind of high for only 4.5 psi of boost. I do expect to be near 1000RWHP at 15-18 psi of boost though, so I could make the link that it was accurate. And I don't think I can get 40 frames/second. I thought 10 was the max for my 512K '01 PCM...

I don't know how accurate but I got almost 600rwhp, so I'll take it...:fluffy:

Go File->Enter VIN and you will see a place for entering GVW.

I've already done that. Thanks. Its still a useful tool for relative changes.

:doh2: Went back and checked it. It was wrong. Arghh. Down to a number that is probably close to what it will make. Can't wait to find out if I ever get this tuning done.
