Links in my sig will help guide you there. Basically you are going to need to upgrade to an '01 or '02, preferably '02, then apply the custom os

No sir. There is a tutorial in the scan and tune tool help menu for setting up a custom OS.

But, how could you manage to make OS 12212156 not one of the COS like 020200xx. I red the tutorial but it says COS. I like to do what you did.

The 12212156 OS is the stock OS. If you want to install a COS then you just follow the tutorial as per normal. The move to 12212156 is just to enable you to cal flash in the base tables etc.

so, 12212156 can be directly downloaded into the pcm with out doing any thing more than "one click on the second red arrow (program cal & OS)"

Yessir, but the '02 cablibration is siginificantly different than say a '99 or '00. www.holdencrazy.com (http://www.holdencrazy.com) has a modified '02 OS with either the '99 Fbody A4 or M6 calibration applied. I would start with one of these file to minimize the amount of transfer you will need to do from your existing tune.

Odd Boy,

You have to very carefully copy (table-by-table using copy-with-labels/paste-with-labels) all the tables from your '00 tune file into the 12212156 (about 2 hours work)...

or you can use the '02 "migration file" mentioned by TAQ, but if your tune is not stock you will still have to copy the changed tables (using copy-with-labels/paste-with-labels).

Then, once your car successfully runs on 12212156, you can jump to COS5 (say) very easily... 12212156 is the "stepping stone".

If your car doesn't run on 12212156 then it won't run on the COS.
