Ok I swapped my old vortec box outta my 2000 S-10 4x4. Now the tach is off, and I played with all the tach multipliers nothing has helped? The engine is 4.3L V6 too. Do I need a cluster outta a 02 to be compatiable with the new pcm?. It seems that the pcm needs to put out more pulses. The stock seting is 1 in the tach box, and increasing the number only makes it worse.
Thanks
Kurt

Kurt, 1 is of course the lowest it will go, if it's still not right then there is nothing you can do in the tune.
Cheers,

Is your tach reading higher or lower than it should be?

okay i hooked up my tech 2 and read the input rpm is says it is receiving, PCM rpm was 700 and deplayed input to tach was 500, it varies worse as rpms come up, I am going to swap pcm's may have a bum tach output, do the old ipc's from s10 get it's tach info from class 2 or tach input.
everything else works great fuel temp speedo.
Thanks
Kurt
