can you read a pcm without locking the cable to it. I have someone who is not happy with the tune on their car but I don't know where his tunning problem is and he don't really want to pay unless it need adjustment ie maf or trans pressure. Can i read his pcm without locking and having to charge him 99 bucks or can I download his tune and looka at it ant elll his either his tune ios ok and he needs a new Maf or trans. his trans is shifting very slow when at about 80% but fine when 100% I'm thinking his maf talble or maf is wrong or his trans need tuning or his trans is sliping.
