better mpg
less exh soot into combustion chamber
higher combustion temps
maybe some overboost codes

It should be the desired flow high/med/and low altitude....If you want, send me your stock tune and i'll look at it. eslagh@charter.net

Just for the heck of it I pulled up a 12606128 OS 07'lbz file and it has it. Everything from lbz-lmm should have those tables iirc...

Is b1529 and b1530 LMM specific? don't see it on mine.

You may want to put a blocker plate in as well. The valve can still open for the egr when the pressure gets above 25psi.

Should be there. Just type 1529 in the search box above the table list. Should pop up. Easy way to find anything.

If you search for B1529 it will take you to table B1529.
If you search for b1529 it will take you to the next occurrence of [Bb]1529 (i.e. ignores case).

It says "not found", no matter what I put in.

Can you shut of the EGR without blocking it???? I thought you had to have the plate to block it off. I wasnt aware I could just tune it out?

I blocked mine, but later came to the conclusion that you can tune it out altogether...I blocked it about two days before I got my software lol. I'm pretty sure you can altogether and then log the data to verify though don't just take my word for it!

You have to tune it out. Blocking it will just cause a code. After you tune it out it is up to you to block it with a plate. With high boost, it is possible for the EGR valve to be pushed open.

Has anybody seen it come open on logs? I never have but I'm only running 28-30 psi boost.

Hi guys, new here,

Thought that I would add some details from my EGR programming experience.

Engine Operation.EGR
{B1501} EGR Control, changed from "Enable" to "Disable".
{B1503} EGR Minimum Engine Temperature, changed from "5.0" to "150.0".
{B1504} EGR Maximum Engine Temperature, changed from "105.0" to "-40.0".
{B1530} EGR Cooling Monitor Lower RPM, changed from "600" to "4990".

Speedometer
{H0136} Tire Revolutions Per Kilometer, changed from "421" to "378"

These are the only parameters that I had changed from the bone stock tune. The result was, more power, but a few dead spots during hard acceleration. no codes thrown. I am guessing that the EGR valve is being used to control intake temperatures and the fuel tables need to be adjusted to accomodate the lack of hot exhaust gasses in the intake manifold.

I also have a question; I see allot of mention that if the boost level excedes 28 psi the EGR valve will be pushed open, would it not be opposite to this and if the exhaust pressure is too great the EGR valve would be forced open? I ask this because the dirrection of exhaust flow during operation is toward the intake.

BTW I put the stock tune back in the ECM, except for the speedo setting for larger tires and the engine runs flawless once again.
