View Full Version : Line Pressure Max/Stock Unit???

what is the max percentage you should raise the line pressure in a stock unit without doing any damage or breaking hard parts? any info is appreciated
this is a stock 4l60e 04 gmc yukon. i was told by a trans shop not to raise the line pressure you will break parts???????? what does everyone use as a % value when adjusting line pressure?

You can make a straight line from 0 torque upto 90 or 96 psi at peak torque... it should be ok.
If you increase pressure by adjusting the screw on the back of the PCS solenoid, then you can get into trouble.

The shift pressure tables indirectly control line pressure only during a shift... i.e. for just a moment.

FYI, there is an error in the base pressure tables on the T42, we are going to be releasing fixes for this next week.

so basically i can increase the values till i get a firm shift and i shouldn't have any issues w/ breaking hard parts on this stock unit, thanks for all the help, also what is the high pressure adjust?
