I have a V1 I'll sell you. It has two vins unused on it. I've only used it to scan. I tried to tune my 98 GMC and I need to get V2.

Look for a seller that can offer good support for you, in other words buy it from a diesel guy. I got mine from Nick. I think he goes by vortecfcar or something like that here. He's Nick on some other forums, and duramaxtuner on others (I believe)
his site is http://www.duramaxtuner.com/

Everyone's prices on the V2 are $749 and usually come with a free tune included...

Excellent customer service from both of these vendors...

You can use the V2 to switch tunes now, so you really don't need a switch anymore. It's all software, anybody with a V2 can load the custom OS.

i'm not real knowledgeable about efi yet, so what does that mean?? you have to have the module and a laptop for that?? also i know OS is operating system, but i'm not real sure exactly how it works...

I think he means that the V2 keypad/LCD allows you to switch tunes.

What I mean is you install a custom os with your v2 and laptop. A DSP5 tune. Once you have it installed, you can switch to one of the five tunes with the v2 device. No need for switches.

x2 on duramaxtuner.com. Nick hooked me up with my V2 with DSP5, and he's been nothing but helpful with every question I've had. I was also very impressed with the tunes he made up for me. IMO
As for the Switching tunes with the V2, i see you have a 2003 also and depending on your OS# you might want to hold of on V2 switching until they get the bugs figured out with the random limp like modes. http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?p=79819#post79819
The only reason i say this is I'm one of the ones having this problem, and its really a pain.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the difference between DSP2 and DSP5 2 and 5 different tunes?? cuz i thought they were havin' problems with the DSP5 and not the DSP2. i thought the two position switch was all worked out and they were only havin' problems switching between 5 different tunes. if that's not the case could somebody please fill me in. i really want to know about this stuff before i get it.

Its just 1 OS for the LLY thats having an issue, post up your OS # (if you know it) and you cant switch DSP2 tunes with a V2, have to put a switch in.

Yeah the problem is only with the new DSP5 operating system that is set up to change via the V2 handheld.
Its actually one of the LB7 OS# that is having the problems.

FYI, the issue with had with the new DSP5 OS is fixed (It only affected LB7 OS's converted from 15189044), all others have had no problems reported. They (LB7 & LLY) will be officially released from Beta state with the next software release.

Cheers,
Ross

So why then wouldn't it be better to have a switch to turn real quick than to have to plug in the V2 every time you want to switch?? Also, i know this is kinda off topic, but how the heck did you guys get your displays to say whatever you wanted??
