Ok, I just got my EFI. I returned my PCM to stock and removed my Hypertec III. I then downloaded the stock PCM to my laptop. When I open the stock file I get an error message:

Warning

The currently loaded calibration contains one or more incorrect ETC (Electronic Throttle Controle) tables.

DO NOT FLASH THIS CALIBRATION into a PCM that is to be used for ETC, or your PCM may be rendered permanently inoperable.

Ok, so I can do little more than spell EFI at this point, but when I see an message like this it makes me worry. I see the tables in RED what do I do with them?

HH, welcome to the forum...

I pm'd Tech Support.

Can you post your stock tune file in this thread (reply to thread, and/or Go Advanced, then Manage Attachments).

Do you mean in red at the end of the Engine Calibration segment...?

Also, be sure to save your stock tune file on several CD's.

Cheers
Joe

Ok, now I'm scratching my head. The folder in red was listed in the Engine Calibration section just below Traction Control. I opened it again just just to take a quick look before uploading the file and now the folder is not there and the error has gone away.... Intersting, I know I wasn't seeing things.

The red ETC parameters will only show up when connected to the flashcan unit. Not knowing the US cars do you have an electronic throttle body?

Stock F bodies did not have electronic throttle, so you can safely ignore that warning. If you were re-flashing that calibration into a C5 (i.e. with electronic throttle) then you may end up with problems.

No I don't have an electronic body, but I didn't know what do do about the error. According to the last post I just read, I guess I just ignor it if it comes up.

Thanks all for your posts. I look forward to lots of quality time with my new friends as I learn how to use my new toy! :hihi:
