my swap ( 2007 5.3 LMG/ 4L60E/BCM, underhood fusebox/'07 cluster and lots of the '07 harness into '97 Tahoe) is done, I had the first testdrives and only a few things have to be addressed.

1.) If've got the crank relaern DTC but couldn't perform a crank relearn with the latest EFIlive software. All signals are there ( P/N switch, brake applied..) but the bidirectional control seems not to start. When I don't press the brake the "press brake" message is displayed if I do so it disappears but nothing happens. Is there anything else I have to do? I went through some crank relearn threads but nothing new on this side..

2.) I have no tranny related DTC'S but the torque convertor clutch doesn't lock

3.) the engine seems to have reduced power. On the last third of the gas pedal nothing changes, also no downshifts appear

The only DTC'S I have are the crank relearn and the immobilizer key not programmed, that's all

Any ideas in these topics?

Harald

crank relearn is done. It was my fault, after hitting the case relearn button I waited for something to happen. It's just a matter of tranny in P, footbrake applied and then after clicking on case relearn starting to rev up until about 4000rpm, then foot off the throttle and that's it.

Sometimes things are all too easy.

The torque converter not locking up is still there, I've got no DTC's from the tranny at all...

Harald,

For CASE relearn:
- did you get the "stumble" at high rpm and did you immediately release the throttle...?
- and then after rpm returned to idle, did you turn off the key and wait at least 15-30 seconds...?

For the TCC:
- check the wiring: the 4L60E has 2 TCC solenoids: TCC (enable) and TCC PWM (apply/control).
- log GEAR, TCCMODE, TCCDC, TSTATE09/10/12/00/01/03 to see if the TCM is commanding the TCC or if the brake switch is inhibiting TCC apply.

For reduced engine power:
- log STATE03 to see if REP mode is active.

Post your logs.

If nobody has done it before, somebody has to do it....

I was going through the TCM tunes and found when I modify the tire spec and try to save the file I recieve a range error. Here are the screenshots:
Data for a 285/75/16 tire according to manufactor:

cal file, TCM details:

http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn67/harascho_album/os_tcm_1.jpg

When I first open that .tun file and enter that section I see:

and that:

there must be a glitch somewhere, as soon as I correct the tire data I have a range error???

Looks like the scaling on H0101 is messed up. I can reproduce the same fault here. I'm getting Ross to take a look at it now...

Harald,

- log GEAR, TCCMODE, TCCDC, TSTATE09/10/12/00/01/03 to see if the TCM is commanding the TCC or if the brake switch is inhibiting TCC apply.
Also check if you are getting misfires... the presence of misfires will inhibit TCC apply.

TCM from 2007 4wd Tahoe OS 24235341 Calibration:24233141

no downshifts when I hit the throttle, no TCC lockup.

I changed the TCM tune to the one that came with the TCM its from a

2007 2wd Suburban OS 24235341 Calibration 24235341

This one makes the difference. I've got part throttle shifts, downshifts with more throttle, kickdown and also the TCC locks. Only difference to my old 1997 setup is that you barly feel the TCC lockup, its very smooth. Big drawback, the cal file is from a 2wd and my 4wd Tahoe doesn't shift at in low range with this tune. What could I do ?

Reported this one to support 17th November. Only applies to specific cals. Others work ok. Basically the result is one or more cals cant be programmed at present.

Cheers!

Then I need a different .cal file for a 2007 4l60E in a 4wd application OS 24235341

Does anybody have something suitable?

Thanks

Harald

Any news on this matter?

Paul will be working with me this week, we are going to try to figure out why H0101 is so wrong on some calibrations. It is not a scaling issue, the scaling doesn't change, it's like in some calibrations don't actually use H0101!

Cheers,
Ross

Hi Ross,

yesterday I tried a different TCM .tun file. The value of H0101 looks better ( I mean within a reasonable range) but when I try to correct for tire size and revs per mile and try to save that .tun file I recieve a range error every time.

I played around a little and it seems as soon as I touch the speedo calibrations and try to save that file I will recieve a range error.

Also when I type in the value for the revs/mile,, as soon as I touch the original value a warning message appears that a tire with such a big circumference doesn't exist or something like that.....that message is ok but only after I typed in a wrong value and closed that with return?

Next I took a ECM .tun file and did the speed calibrations. No problems at all, everything works as expected.

By the way I am using the latest EFIlive software ( built 72)

Thanks for helping
Harald

Upgrade to the latest build, 75. Have to use the new update function in the start menu, works pretty dang slick if I do say so myself.

Hi, I easily updated to built 75 but that speedo correction stuff is still a little mixed up
