Read the AutoVE tutorial mate, it covers going into SD and tuning the VE table etc.

Thanks for the reply, I have read the AutoVE tutorial, maybe you could tell me what custom operating system I use for this 2006 VZ L76 6 litre engine operating system 12607218 to run speed density?

Don't need a custom OS mate as the car runs an E38 Controller.

Have a read of swingtans tutorial. It covers what you need.

Thanks macca, this confirms what I thought was the case, good tutorial by swingtans saves me finding the appropriate wire.

The only thing I need to confirm now is, is the hi and low octane ignition tables still active? from what I understand they are still active when the MAF is unplugged unlike the LS1.

Yeah mate they are both active when you fail the MAF on an E38

The only thing you will loose when going SD on an E38 is the traction control / stability control will not work. But, to fix that you will see a section called Operating System patches, you need to apply both TCS patches and then all that will be functional when in SD.

Ross

I did pick that up from the forum and help file, thanks for the clarification anyway.

Another question do I require one license to tune this vehicle or two ie one for the engine and one for the transmission?

You have to have a V2 to read/tune this car and it uses 1 VIN license (aka you can tune 1 ECM and 1 TCM).
