Well I made my first changes to the tune that came with the car ad I'm glad to say I like the results! My first area that I wanted to work on was the extremely poor idle I had. The engine would hunt for an idle surging and dropping until it either stalled or found something it liked and settled down. Most of the time if I just let off the gas without feathering it would stall. It was much worse when the engine was cold. Today I worked on 3 areas all under the idle section of fuel. After a few changes, no more hunting! I have let the car cool for 3 hours, went back out, reached in and turned the key and she fired right up. Stabbed the gas a few times and the idle returned, rock steady. Needless to say, I'm very excited! I'm sure this was just beginners luck but damn! I'm sure I'm going to have many questions.

This forum is great!

Hey Joe, good job mate...

What car do you have (what motor, trans, gear do you have in that Datsun and how much does it weigh...?)...?

Cheers

Motor is a 99 LS1, trans is a T65 and the rear is a Datsun posi with 3.7 gears. Weight is roughly 2500lbs. I have yet to get it on the scale but the motor and trans is only 70lbs more than the stock straight 6 and Nissan trans. The LS is actually lighter than the six but the trans, well you know!
